New Beginning

It feels really, really great to finally have a new place to post. The old blog has felt a little too public for me for quite some time. It wasn't long after I started it back in 2004 that a guy I went to college with found it. He was very nice, and we ended up hanging out with him and his wife, who also started reading my blog. It ended up that they were good friends with a girl I went to high school with, and I have since worked with and gone to church with former classmates of theirs. I believe that they have kept word of my blog to themselves, but I honestly never felt fully able to express myself there after that, and that was VERY early in my life as a blogger.

Here I am in a new place with a new name; it feels a little weird honestly. I was at the old place for over five years! I will not use my own personal name here or the real names of any of my family or friends, so if you are aware of the real names, please do not leave them in comments. I am very excited to finally have an outlet to express how I'm feeling about anything and everything. I really, really do not like when people complain constantly, but there have been some things going on in my life that simply warrant a little whine.

For those that have known me for a while, I have done a Christmas card swap for the past two years, and I've really enjoyed it. If we've swapped cards in the past and would like to do so this year, please let me know!!

Next post coming shortly!!

  6. Yay so glad to see you blogging again, I have missed you! I can totally understand why you want to be more anonymous... if I didn't want to use my blog for spreading my work I would be using online names too! A Christmas card swap sounds great, I shall e you and until then, I'm looking forward for reading more on this blog xx

  7. I'm glad that you have a place that you can freely express yourself. That is why none of my family knows about my blog. My best friend knows but that is because she got me started on it. I've been a really bad blogger the last couple months though, once I'm ready for the holidays I will probably be back at it regularly.

You and your family are on my list for a card. If you would like you can send me one, you will just have to email me for my address as I have moved since last Christmas.

    Can't wait to read more.

  8. I definitely know how you feel about being held back in blogging with people who know you reading!

I'd love to do a Christmas card swap with you, although, instead of a Christmas card we're doing a birth announcement this year. So, it will probably be a little after Christmas.

  11. Glad you're back, and I can't wait to read what you have to say. I'd love to swap cards again this year. I will email you with my new address, and if you would do the same (since I am terrible with keeping addresses), that would be great.

  12. I just keep waiting for someone I know to find my blog...the only one who knows about it right now is Daniel and he rarely reads it because he knows how personal it is. I like the idea of starting fresh and not using real names though because I'm starting to feel I've exposed too much. So, I might be doing as you've done in the coming months!
I would love to participate in the card swap again!! I have your address from last year, just email me if you need mine.
Glad you are back to blogging :)

  13. So glad you'll be blogging again. I've been contemplating doing the exact same thing as more & more people know about my blog & I don't really speak my mind anymore.

I'd love to exchange Christmas cards. You are already on my list!

  15. Thanks for the heads up on where to 'find' you. Looking forward to it :)

This is why I have about 4 different blogs altogether, one is where I vent (the one I'm commenting with) then there's one for photography, one for graphic design, and one that I actively promote under my own name on facebook etc (which is friend and family friendly) I don't think I would blog at all, if I didn't have the one where I can share my true feelings! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us :)

  18. I am so glad you are back. I totally understand how you feel about people finding your blog and then not being able to share how you really feel. Hope this space feels better to you!!
